Solid Showing For Women’s Golf At Simpson Fall Invite

The North Central Missouri College women's golf team traveled to Indianola, IA on Wednesday to compete in the Simpson Fall Invitational. The Invitational was comprised of 5 NJCAA schools and 7 NAIA programs. The Lady Pirates finished in 8th place out of 12 schools after firing a solid team score of 364. Iowa Central CC won the team portion of the event with a 313.

Mollee Olszowka, Haley Baskett, and Skyler Powers notched their first individual Top 20 of the fall campaign. Olszowka finished T16th after posting a solid round of 88 while Baskett was T17th coming around the Indianola Country Club layout in 89. Skyler Powers was right behind them posting another solid round of 90 which placed her T18th for the tournament. Kennedy Dickerson shot a 97 for the Lady Pirates but has found some solid consistency with her driver which will bode well on a tough Paradise Pointe golf course next week. Claire Renfro shot 115 and Riley Moreno rounded out the individual scoring with a 157.

The team will have a quick turnaround as they are in action next Monday and Tuesday in Smithville, MO at the KC Cup hosted by William Jewell College. The tournament will be held on the "Outlaw Course" at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex. Tee times on Monday for NCMC are TBD along with the shotgun start time on Tuesday.
