NCMC Women’s Golf Shatters Program Record By 18 shots To Start Fall Season

The North Central Missouri College women's golf program got there fall campaign off to a great start on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kansas Women's Collegiate hosted by Sterling College. The tournament was held at Carey Park Golf Course in Hutchinson, KS. The Lady Pirates competed against some tough NAIA competition alongside Iowa Western CC, Barton CC, and Coffeyville CC. The NCMC women shattered the program record on day one by posting a team score of 348 which bested the previous team score record of 365 which was set in 2021 at the Graceland Fall Invitational in Lamoni, IA. Day two saw the Lady Pirates eclipse that record again with a team tally of 347 for a 36-hole team score of 695. This also is a new program best.

Haley Baskett led the Lady Pirates by posting an individual score of 88 in round one and setting her personal best score of 80 in round two. Kennedy Dickerson also posted her best collegiate score at NCMC a pair of 85's over the course of two days. Mollee Olszowka had a great start to her collegiate career by firing an 84 in round one and 89 in round two which included three birdies. Skyler Powers had a strong start to her freshman campaign by shooting 91-93 respectively for the event. Claire Renfro and Riley Moreno rounded out the Lady Pirates scoring at the tournament. Renfro finished with a 36-hole tally of 202 and Moreno posted a two-day score of 257.

NCMC women's golf will be in action next on September 20th as they travel to Indianola, IA to compete in the Simpson Fall Invitational held at Indianola Country Club. Tee times for NCMC will begin at 10:00am that day.
