"The weather was quite interesting for the event. During our practice round on Thursday the temp was 92 degrees with a SW wind at 20 mph. Day 1 of the tournament on Friday we saw a big change with a high of 54 degrees and a 25-30 mph NW wind. Day 2 started in the upper 40's and got to the low 60's. The ladies hung in pretty good with dealing with the weather change and having a positive attitude. As a team, I'd say our biggest fight was getting used to the green's speed and to factor the wind into it as well. It was a good learning experience and I hope that we finish off our fall season strong with our trip to Nebraska," commented Coach Cordray.
The final fall tournament for the Lady Pirates will be October 13-14 when they hit the road to compete in the Morningside Invite. The event will be held at The Prairie Club in Valentine, Nebraska.
