Women's Basketball Comes Up Short On The Road Against Iowa Central CC

NCMC women's basketball let a first quarter lead slip away on the road Saturday when they fell to Iowa Central CC 67-64.  The 18th ranked Lady Pirates will look to rebound on Monday when they host Missouri Valley College JV at 5:30pm in the Ketcham Community Center.

NCMC started well in Dodge City, taking an advantage through the first quarter of play and were able to sustain it until halftime, leading the host Tritons 38-31 at the break.  From there, the 18th ranked Lady Pirates could not hold on, as points were more difficult to come by down the stretch.

Leading NCMC's scoring was Nora Ford with 21 points.  She also fouled out in the contest.  Ianara Morbidoni netted 17 points in the losing effort.  As a team, the Lady Pirates shot just 34.4% from the field and turned the ball over 26 times.
