The 18th ranked Lady Pirates kept on winning Saturday when they went on the road and defeated Southeast CC 78-68 to improve to 17-4 for the year. They will put their current 7-game winning streak on the line Thursday when they host William Penn University JV in the Ketcham Center at 5:30pm. That night will be the Cancer Awareness Game where the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Residence Hall Association (RHA) will be selling t-shirts and collecting free will donations in support of Addie Johnson, an avid Pirate supporter who has been in an ongoing battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
NCMC jumped out to a 26-14 1st quarter lead used a balanced attack to take down the Storm. Nora Ford and Maci Moore led the way with 16 points apiece for the Lady Pirates who shot 49.2% from the field and knocked down 12 of 15 free throws. Moore also controlled the glass nicely, pulling down a game high 9 rebounds.
