Strong Start Propels Lady Pirates To Road Victory Over Southeast CC

The 18th ranked Lady Pirates kept on winning Saturday when they went on the road and defeated Southeast CC 78-68 to improve to 17-4 for the year.  They will put their current 7-game winning streak on the line Thursday when they host William Penn University JV in the Ketcham Center at 5:30pm.  That night will be the Cancer Awareness Game where the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and Residence Hall Association (RHA) will be selling t-shirts and collecting free will donations in support of Addie Johnson, an avid Pirate supporter who has been in an ongoing battle with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.

NCMC jumped out to a 26-14 1st quarter lead used a balanced attack to take down the Storm.  Nora Ford and Maci Moore led the way with 16 points apiece for the Lady Pirates who shot 49.2% from the field and knocked down 12 of 15 free throws.  Moore also controlled the glass nicely, pulling down a game high 9 rebounds.
