NCMC Lady Pirates basketball improved their NJCAA Region 16 record to 2-0 Saturday when they went on the road and defeated St. Louis Community College 80-57. The victory was the third straight for the 17th ranked Lady Pirates who now sit at 14-4 for the year. Next up will be a Homecoming matchup with North Platte Community College, a team that currently holds a 14-6 record.
Sophomore Nora Ford had a standout game against St. Louis. She scored 23 points on 9-17 shooting. Her season scoring average is now 16.3ppg, leading the potent NCMC attack.
Three other Lady Pirates reached double figures in scoring Saturday.
