Tough First Quarter Dooms Lady Pirates

A 17-point deficit after one quarter was too much for the Lady Pirates to overcome on Monday as they fell at home to St. Louis Community College 82-57.  With the loss, NCMC finished Region 16 regular season play 0-4 and moved their overall record to 6-16.  Next action will be Wednesday night at the Ketcham Community Center where they will take on Graceland University JV.  The team will look to end their current 11-game losing skid.

Leading scorers for the Lady Pirates were sophomores Hailey Burrows (16 points) and Maddison Book (14 points).  As a team, NCMC shot 27.4% on the night and only netted 4 of 21 three point attempts.
