NCMC Women's Basketball took an 81-70 loss at home Tuesday to Southwestern Community College. The Lady Pirates will get a chance to avenge the loss on the road Wednesday, November 21st when they make the trip to Creston, IA to complete the home and home series.
Early in the contest, things looked good for the Lady Pirates. Throughout much of the game, Coach Croy's team held a lead. However, in the 4th quarter the team couldn't get the ball in the basket. "We struggled in the 4th quarter and that was the difference in the game. We had crucial turnovers and just got in a hurry with the ball. Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and make adjustments," commented Croy.
With the loss, the Lady Pirates sit with a record of 2-4. Another home game is next on the slate as the team will take on Central Methodist University JV Friday night.
