Lady Pirates Basketball earned their first victory of the season Tuesday with a 77-67 home win over Ellsworth Community College.  "It was nice to get the first win under our belt," commented Coach Croy.  The next action for the Lady Pirates will be this weekend when they travel to Kansas City Kansas Community College.  Friday, they take on Hesston College at 4:00pm and on Saturday the play the host KCKCC at 4:00pm.  Saturday's game can be watched online at https://www.uclicktv.com/ncmc.

While the Lady Pirates started slowly, it was a strong finish that netted them the victory.  "It took a quarter for us to get going.  We played uptight and nervous the first quarter," noted Croy.  Much of the game was a back and forth affair.  "This was a game of runs. We would go on a quick run and then they would hit a 3 with an answer," detailed Croy.
