The NCMC women's basketball team dominated on the road Wednesday evening against region opponent Wentworth Military Academy. "We got off to a fast start and were able to sustain our lead throughout the game," remarked Jenni Croy.
The 97-37 victory was accomplished with a balanced attack from the Lady Pirates. Six of seven players scored in double figures with Sarah Lamp's 19 points leading the way. Notable was McKinley Hurley's triple-double, where she scored 12 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and dished out 11 assists.
Next on the schedule for the Lady Pirates is the road meeting with MCC-Penn Valley on Saturday. Coach Croy's squad, with a record of 18-6, easily handled this opponent earlier in the year at the Ketcham Center 70-38.
