Lady Pirates Win Pair, Push Winning Streak To 5 Games

The Lady Pirates are on a 5 game winning streak as they improved to 6-2 on the season after taking down John Wood Community College 82-69 on Friday and Bryant and Stratton College 82-73 on Saturday. "These were 2 good road wins for us this weekend. The girls really stayed focused throughout each game and knocked down big shots when needed. Both teams we played started making come backs but we were able to hold them off. I was proud of the effort for our entire team," commented Coach Croy on her team's efforts.

Against John Wood, freshman Sarah Lamp led the way.  She recorded yet another double-double with 25 points and 16 rebounds.  Sophomore Dasia Young put in 18 points with 9 rebounds while freshman Madison Gonseth totaled 7 points off the bench.

It was more of the same against Bryant and Stratton on Saturday.  Lamp totaled 30 points with 11 rebounds.  Freshman Kendey Eaton knocked home 25 points and Dasia Young grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out 9 assists.

The Lady Pirates are back in action Monday night as they take on the William Penn University JV team at home with a 5:30pm tipoff at the Ketcham Community Center.
