Softball swept St. Charles CC on Tuesday in a Region 16 matchup in Trenton. With the wins, the Pirates are 19-27 overall and get above .500 in region play with a 13-11 mark. Next up will be a home doubleheader on Thursday with Indian Hills CC.
GAME 1: North Central Missouri College delivered a dominant performance on both sides of the field in their shutout win over St. Charles Community College. Pitchers Cassi Rodgers and Briley Bouma combined for a near-flawless outing, allowing just one hit over seven innings while striking out eight and walking none. At the plate, Kenley Moore sparked the offense with a hit and a run scored, while Alex Endicott launched a solo home run. Emma Cathey came through in the clutch with two RBIs to help seal the 3-0 victory. Despite a couple of fielding miscues, NCMC's efficient pitching and timely hitting proved more than enough to secure the win.
GAME 2: NCMC showcased a balanced offensive and defensive effort in their 7–6 win, with several players stepping up at the plate. Emma Lisenbee led the charge, blasting a home run, scoring three runs, and driving in another, while also earning the win on the mound with four solid innings and six strikeouts. Addison Huber added a solo homer and scored twice, and Chariss Barnard went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Cassi Rodgers contributed a key 2-RBI single, and Alex Endicott chipped in with two hits and an RBI of her own. Briley Bouma closed out the final three innings, allowing just one hit and no runs to seal the victory.
