NCMC Softball Closes The Regular Season With Four More Region 16 Victories

NCMC Softball earned a pair of Region 16 wins on Tuesday and on Wednesday to push their season record to 29-20 and 13-15 in Region 16 play.  The Pirate's next action will be in the postseason for a sub-region matchup.  This will occur on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28 though NCMC's opponent and location information is not yet available.

 

Against Metropolitan CC on Tuesday, NCMC won by the scores of 8-5 & 12-10.  Gracie McKinnie totaled 5 RBI's in game one.  Hope Helton knocked a solo home run in game two and Hailey Shepardson blasted a 2-run homer as well.

 

Wednesday's final scores were 9-8 & 12-4 victories over State Fair CC.  Again NCMC had the power game going with 2-run bombs from Brookelynn Becker, Addison Huber and Hope Helton in the opener.  Cassi Rodgers pitched the victory in game one.  Game two saw a 3-run blast from Maeve Lavoy who also earned the win in the pitcher's circle.  Becker added a solo shot and Rylie Boyer cemented the victory with a walk-off single in the 6th inning.
