Softball was swept in a 4-game road series at Crowder College on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Final scores of the games were 1-0, 11-3, 13-0 and 19-5.  The Pirates are now 23-27 overall and hold a Region 16 record of 9-15. 

In the 1-0 loss, Lauren Krohn pitched an outstanding game in defeat.  She allowed just 4 hits to the potent Roughrider's offense while striking out 7.  The lone run was surrendered in the bottom of the 7^th on Carlee Durham's walk off hit.

Offensively, the Pirates struggled to find traction against Crowder.  In the 1-0 loss, NCMC struck out 16 times and were only able to muster 4 hits.  Hailey Shepardson had two of those hits, both singles.

Next up for NCMC softball will be a road doubleheader with Graceland JV on Thursday.  First pitch is set for 4:00pm.
