NCMC softball split a road doubleheader with Metropolitan CC on Tuesday.  They took the opener 8-7 before dropping game two 13-5.  The team is now 17-17 for the year and 5-7 in Region 16 play.  Next up will be a home matchup with Crowder College on Thursday. 

Leadoff Rylie Boyer hammered out 4 of the team's 10 hits in the opening win.  She also scored 2 runs and drove in 3.  Carsen Sporleder knocked a home run in the win.  Maeve Lavoy earned the win by tossing 3.1 innings and allowing 2 earned runs.

Caragan Baker took the loss in game two.  She allowed 7 earned runs over 3.1 innings pitched.  Baker did lead the offense in the game with a double and a runs scored in 3 at bats.  Sporleder totaled 2 runs scored in the defeat.
