Softball notched a doubleheader sweep of Southwestern CC on Tuesday to improve their season record to 26-16.  The Pirates have an impressive 16-2 home mark following the wins.  Their next action will be a pair of road games at Graceland University JV on Thursday.  First pitch is set for 4pm in Lamoni, IA.

In the opener with the Spartans, it took extra innings for NCMC to secure the victory 2-1.  Driving in the winning run was Madison Cowman who went 2-3 with both RBIs.  Chloe Buckallew notched the complete game victory, allowing only 3 hits over 8 innings.

The Pirates easily handled game two by the score of 7-1.  NCMC featured a balanced offensive attack totaling 12 hits.  Madeline Smith homered in the game.  Winning in the pitcher's circle was Sammi Bradshaw who twirled 7 innings allowing 4 hits and striking out 6.
