Softball Ranked 17th In Nation, Splits Pair Of Region 16 Doubleheaders

NCMC Lady Pirates Softball, ranked #17 in the latest NJCAA DI poll, split a pair of road Region 16 doubleheaders this week.  Monday saw a 2-1 win and a 10-4 loss at State Fair CC while Thursday's games against Metropolitan CC ended with a 5-1 loss and a 14-5 win.  Overall, NCMC's record is 36-8 with a Region 16 mark of 10-6.  Next action for NCMC will be a home doubleheader Saturday with 15th ranked Crowder College.  The Lady Pirates will look to avenge a pair of early season defeats to Crowder on the road.

 

Casey Stout and Sammi Bradshaw each picked up a win and a loss in the last four region contests.  Stout defeated State Fair tossing a complete game allowing 1 unearned run and striking out 10.  Bradshaw bested Metropolitan with a complete game of her own, allowing 5 earned runs over 5 innings pitched.

 

Rylee Sensenich and Madi Cole each knocked homeruns over the four game stretch.
