April Starts With 4 Region XVI Wins For Softball

Lady Pirates softball has won 4 of 6 games to start off April, all in Region 16 action, to improve their season record to 28-6.  In region play, NCMC's mark currently sits at 6-4 with 14 region games left to play.  The Lady Pirates next action is a home doubleheader with Missouri Valley College JV on Thursday.

Coach Richman is looking for a bit more offensive consistency from his team to reach the heights they are striving for.  "We've pitched and played defense really well.  Our offense has been hit and miss and we need a bit more dependability in that area of our game."

In the pitching circle, Casey Stout has continued to be dominant notching wins against St. Charles CC on April 2nd, Jefferson College on April 3rd, and Metropolitan CC on April 6th.  In those wins, she twirled 19 innings allowing just 3 earned runs and striking out 28.
