Strong Start For Lady Pirates Softball

Lady Pirates Softball has gotten their season started in fine fashion going 6-0 over North Arkansas College, East Central College and Allen Community College.  They will carry that momentum into their first home games of the season on March 5th when they host Central Community College-Columbus in a doubleheader.  First pitch is set for 3:00pm.

 

Offensive production has been easy for the Lady Pirates to come by so far with the team averaging nearly 8 runs per game.  8 NCMC hitters currently have a batting average over .300, led by freshman Mckayla Blackburn's .571 mark.  Rylee Sensenich holds the team's RBI lead with 8 and Casey Stout's 7 runs scored paces the Lady Pirates.  Abby Dobbins and Sammi Bradshaw each have homered for NCMC.

 

The dominant pitcher so far has been Stout (4-0).  She has yet to give up an earned run over 21 innings pitched.  Additionally, she is up to 48 strikeouts for the year.
