Softball Splits With Kansas City Kansas CC

Lady Pirates Softball went 2-2 in their series with Kansas City Kansas Community College.  NCMC's record now sits at 18-9 overall and 3-3 in Region 16 play ahead of an important weekend series at Three Rivers Community College.

 

In the home doubleheader on Monday, the Lady Pirates took game one by a score of 5-0.  Payton Craig threw the complete game shutout allowing just 2 hits while striking out 7.  Offensively, Mackenzie Robnett went 2-3 with a run scored and Jacqueline Gentzell finished 2-2 with a run and an RBI.  The second game went to extra innings with KCK pulling out the 5-2 victory.  The Lady Pirates could only muster 6 hits in defeat.

 

On the road, the Lady Pirates dropped the opener 5-4 before rallying to win the second game 2-0.
