Three Trenton High School standout softball players have signed with the Lady Pirates for the 2019-20 school year.
Head Coach Steve Richman had these details about the signees. "I have had the privilege of watching these three young ladies grow up playing ball. They all excel in the sport, but even more important they are high quality young ladies. They will bring character to our program. It is not often that I will find three players from the same school that can bring so much to NCMC both on and off of the field. I look forward to watching them develop."
Taylor Richman
Softball Honors
Senior Year: All State, All Region, All District, All Conference
Junior Year: All District, All Conference, Academic All State, all after missing half of the season as a result of a broken leg
Sophomore Year: All District, All Region, All Conference, Academic All-State
Involved in multiple clubs and organizations including the National Honor Society.
"Taylor will be a great addition to our team and has received multiple honors throughout high school. She hits the ball with a lot of power as well as at a high percentage. She will be a multiple home run kid at the college level. She will also give us a great outfielder that reads the ball extremely well off of the bat. She brings a lot of experience in the outfield position to us. She will be a definite contributor to our team immediately and l look forward to seeing her develop into a high level college softball player," Richman commented.

Received Gold awards at the Regional, State, and National levels in FCCLA plus is involved in multiple other clubs and organizations.
"Salem is a 4-time All-State player that brings a wealth of experience to us. She hits the ball with extreme power with her multiple home runs throughout her career and has the chance to hit one out with every swing. She is also a high level catcher that commands a good game. She is a very good receiving catcher with a strong arm to hold runners. Salem will give us a power hitter in our lineup that is a threat to go deep frequently. I look forward to seeing how good she will become," added Richman.
Sidney Lynch
Softball Honors
Senior Year: All District, All Conference
"Sidney is a great first baseman. She is very good at cleaning up others poor throws. She will help us immediately at first. She also has the ability to catch. She is extremely good in the catcher position as well with a very quick release throwing runners out. Sidney is another who has great pop in her bat hitting multiple home runs in her career, she is a very strong kid. Sidney has a chance to be an elite first baseman for us," concluded Richman.
