Lady Pirates Softball has signed Maycee Edgar to a scholarship for the 2019-20 school year. Edgar, a standout pitcher and hitter from Marceline High School, will bring that versatility to NCMC. "Maycee is a great addition to our softball program," commented Coach Richman. "She will bring a wealth of experience on the mound and knows how to win. We will utilize her on the mound as well as other places on the field. She also brings a great bat to the lineup."
During her senior season, Edgar led her team to a 19-4 record plus maintained an earned run average under 2 runs per game. She walked just 21 batters in 103 innings while striking out 99. At the plate, she finished with a .410 average.
Edgar, who plans to study exercise science in college, is an excellent student as well carrying a 4.0 GPA through high school. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Principal's Honor Roll, and the 2017-18 Academic All-State Softball Team. "Maycee is a high character young lady that will represent NCMC very well," concluded Richman.
