Lady Pirates Close Regular Season With Split Against 3R

Lady Pirates Softball closed the regular season with another home split against Three Rivers Community College on Tuesday.  NCMC, who will be the #4 seed in the upcoming Region 16 Tournament, finished with a 34-15 overall record and 10-14 in region play.

Alex Miller stared in the 5-1 opening game victory.  She tossed the complete game allowing only one run to Three Rivers.  At the plate, she clubbed a 2 run homer which would be all the offense the Lady Pirates would need.

Game two saw Three Rivers rebound for a 14-2 victory.  NCMC gave up those 14 runs on 8 hits and 4 errors.

Friday will be the start of the Region 16 tournament in Joplin, MO.  The 4-seed Lady Pirates will open with action against 5-seed MCC-Maple Woods.  In the regular season, Coach Richman's squad split the 4-game series with the Monarchs.  With a win, NCMC would again face 1-seed Three Rivers.  Below is the full tournament bracket.
