Miller Sets Home Run Record In Split With Three Rivers CC

Lady Pirates Softball split with Region 16 foe Three Rivers Community College on Monday at Griffin Field.  NCMC took a come from behind victory in the opener by the score of 8-7.  "It was a great win against a quality opponent.  We really showed a lot of resilience in the comeback.  I think we are gelling as a team at the right time," commented Coach Richman.  Three Rivers rebounded to win the second game 14-5.

 

One statistical note, freshman Alex Miller broke the NCMC single season home run record by clubbing her 16th homer of the season.  She breaks Trenton native Madi Trump's previous record of 15 homeruns in 2016.

 

The Lady Pirates close their regular season with another home doubleheader with Three Rivers on Tuesday.  First pitch is set for 2:00pm at Griffin Field.  The Lady Pirates overall record is 33-14 and 9-13 in Region 16 play.
