Lady Pirate Win 3 of 4 Region Road Games

Lady Pirates Softball won 3 out of 4 region games this weekend to improve their Region 16 record to 8-12.  Overall, the NCMC is 32-13 with four games remaining in the regular season.  Those games will be Monday and Tuesday as the Lady Pirates host Region 16 foe Three Rivers Community College.  The Raiders are 36-11 on the year.

 

On Friday the Lady Pirates swept a road doubleheader with St. Charles Community College.  Final scores were 8-0 and 8-3.  Alex Miller continued her hot hitting going 5-8, 2 runs and 7 RBI's, including her 15th homerun of the season.  The winning pitchers for the Lady Pirates were Miller in the opener and Kaitlyn Marsh in game two.

 

Saturday saw the Lady Pirates get a split with Jefferson College.  It was a 4-1 win to start things off before falling 8-3 in the second game.  Marsh got the complete game win in the opener to push her record on the year to 17-6.  Miller took the loss in the second game.  Starring at the plate against Jefferson was Makayla Lamphier who went 3-6 with 2 runs, 4 RBIs, and 2 homeruns.
