Lady Pirates softball traveled to Graceland University JV on Wednesday and took home a couple victories. The 10-2 and 13-0 wins move the Lady Pirates overall record to 25-8.
Game one saw Kaitlyn Marsh earn her 13th victory by pitching 4 innings and allowing only 2 unearned runs. At the plate, Kendra Holt blasted 2 homers with Marsh and Mackenzie Robnett also adding homeruns of their own.
Three Lady Pirates pitchers combined for a shutout in game two. Alex Miller started and gave up the lone hit to Graceland in her 2 innings pitched. Kenna Michael and Robnett also pitched for Coach Steve Richman. The offense was marked by three more homeruns. Marsh and Robnett each hit their second on the day while Makayla Lamphier knocked out her third of the year.
Friday, April 13th the Lady Pirates will host Region 16 foe Jefferson College. First pitch is set for 2:00pm at Griffin Field.
