Home Split For Lady Pirates Against MCC-Maple Woods

Lady Pirates Softball earned a home split on Tuesday against MCC-Maple Woods.  After taking the opener 6-2, one bad inning in the second game was too much to overcome in the game two 7-5 defeat.  NCMC is now 23-8 overall and 5-7 in Region 16 play.

"We played pretty well overall on the day.  Unfortunately, we had one inning in the second game where we allowed five runs and we couldn't overcome it to get the sweep," commented Coach Steve Richman.

On the day, the Lady Pirates offense continued to be a strong point.  In game one, homeruns were hit by Kendra Holt and Alex Miller.  In the doubleheader, the Pirates pounded out 18 total hits.

Next up will be a road doubleheader against Graceland University JV today.
