7-0 Spring Trip For Lady Pirates Softball

7-0 Spring Trip For Lady Pirates Softball

It was a 7-0 spring trip for the Lady Pirates Softball program over spring break in South Carolina.  The first five games of the trip, played at the Ripken Experience, saw the team not allow a run on their way to lopsided victories.  The team's pitchers combined for no-hitters in four of those contests.  The trip was topped off with a doubleheader victory against USC-Sumter on the road trip home.

"Our spring break trip was a great success as we went 7-0 and played good softball; we finished strong. It was a great experience and a good opportunity to play teams we don't typically play," detailed Coach Richman of the trip.  "Defense was really strong and pitching was good as five of the seven games were shut outs," added Richman of the keys to victory.

With the wins the Lady Pirates are now 19-4 on the year.  Their next games will be Sunday, March 24th as they host Jefferson College and look to improve their current 1-3 Region 16 record.
