Two More Wins For Lady Pirates Softball

Lady Pirates softball extended their winning streak to four games with a pair of victories over Central Methodist University JV on Monday.  Runs were a plenty for NCMC winning the contests 18-0 and 14-12.  On the year, the team's record is now 11-3.

After a lopsided game one victory, both teams were scoring in game two.  "The second game was a homerun derby as both teams combined for 11 bombs.  We showed resilience as we were down 7-0 after the first half of inning one.  Both teams hit very well but fortunately we were able put the game away in the sixth and hold them scoreless in the 7th.  It was definitely an offensive day.  The ball was flying off the bat.  It was good to see our players keep their composure and chip away.  We were down 12-7 at one point," commented Coach Richman of the second games details.

Softball's next games will be a doubleheader at MCC-Maple Woods on Thursday.  In the games the Lady Pirates will look to improve on their 0-2 Region 16 record.
