Lady Pirates Go 6-2 In Myrtle Beach

The NCMC Lady Pirate's softball team had a nice showing in their southern trip to Myrtle Beach, SC.  The team went 6-2 on the trip which improved their overall record to 15-5.  "I was very pleased with the way the girls played during our trip to Myrtle Beach.  Everybody had a part in our wins," remarked Coach Richman of his team's efforts.

The team relied on all facets of their game over the trip.  "Our defense was very strong throughout and I thought our pitchers were good.  Our hitting was very strong which led us to a 6-2 record," noted Richman.

Lengthy road trips not only allowed for the team to get in many games but it also helped the team grow as a unit.  "It was a great experience for us and I feel the kids got a lot out of the trip, not only softball but with the chemistry of our team."

The Lady Pirates were set to be back in action on Friday at Crowder College but those games have been cancelled due to rain.  Next up will now be a Tuesday doubleheader at Indian Hills Community College.
