Nate Gamet enters his third year as Athletic Director in 2023-24 after serving as the Ketcham Community Center Director for five years and Head Men’s Golf Coach for one season.  Nate has an athletics background as a collegiate player at the NAIA level, basketball coach at the NCAA Division II level and men’s college basketball official for the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA.  Prior to NCMC, Nate Gamet served as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Cameron University following five seasons as the program’s Assistant Coach.

 

In Gamet's first season leading the Aggies, they made their fifth straight trip to the postseason and entered the year with the Preseason National Player of the Year (D2 Bulletin) Craig Foster.  Gamet recruited some of the top talent to come to Cameron over the past decade and helped the Aggies maintain success.  As an Assistant, Gamet has helped guide the Aggies to four postseason berths and 74 wins.

 

Beginning in 2008, Gamet helped Cameron return to prominence making postseason appearances in four of the next five years.  Additionally, Gamet had 11 All-Conference selections while at Cameron. Former Aggie standout Kallan Glasgow shined under Gamet receiving the NABC Honor Court award.  The team also had a grade point average over 3.0 in 2009-10.

 

Prior to his time at Cameron, Gamet spent five years as an assistant coach for the Northwest Missouri State University Bearcats basketball program.  During his tenure with the Bearcats, Gamet helped lead the team to three Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) championships and one regional championship.  He also received his graduate degree in Athletic Administration from NMSU.

 

Originally from Princeton, Missouri, Gamet lives in Galt with his wife Katrina and three girls, Alexis, AJ, and Beckett.
