T4th Team Finish For Men’s Golf At Blackhawk Spring Invite

The North Central Missouri College Men's Golf Team traveled to Burlington, IA on Monday to compete in the Southeastern CC Blackhawk Spring Invite held at Burlington Golf Club. The Pirates posted a team score of 325 and finished in T4th place in the 7 team tournament field. Hawkeye Community College won the team portion of the event with a score of 295. Other teams competing at the event were Carl Sandburg CC, Iowa Wesleyan University, and Southeastern CC.

Cam Bates and Austin Lasher led the Pirates in scoring with a pair of 80's. Mason Moncrief shot an 81 while Kyle Steel and Jacob Stallo rounded out the team scoring with an 84 and 85. "New course for the guys so some of them struggled a little bit off the tee. The Course offered a lot of elevation and made everybody move the ball both ways with the driver. The greens were in excellent shape but it took some time for the guys to adjust to the speed. I was happy with how they played and are still staying pretty consistent golf. 54 holes in four days is a busy stretch and it showed Monday but the effort was really good for getting on a bus at 5:00 A.M. for a 3-hour road trip and getting right into the tournament mindset".

The Pirates will now travel to Niobrara, NE on April 14th and 15thto compete in the Tatanka Spring Invite hosted by the University of Jamestown. Live scoring will be available for both Tournament days.
