Steel Concludes Season At National Tournament

Kyle Steel competed in the NJCAA DII Men's Golf Championship on May 17-18 at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club in Joplin, MO.  Following the first two rounds of the event, his score of 175 was not good enough to make the cut of the tournament for the final two days.  He placed T118 in the 127 player field.

He opened his tournament with a score of 90 which left himself an uphill climb in the event.  He bettered his second day score by 5 strokes which improved he standing in the tournament by 5 places.

Steel, a 1st Team All-Region performer, is only the 5th player in NCMC men's golf program history to qualify for nationals.  He will look to use his experience from the 2021-22 season to springboard the team into next year.
