NCMC Men’s Golf Battles Wind at Graceland Spring Invitational

The North Central Missouri College Men's golf team traveled to Maryville, MO over the weekend to compete in the Graceland Spring Invitational at Mozingo Lake Golf Course. "There was a lot of positive takeaways from this past weekend and an ample amount of learning opportunities. I'm proud of the way the guys battled on Friday and Saturday. The wind picked up so much both days that every misfire was going to add two or three shots on the scorecard. Kyle, Austin, and Cam will all take this to heart and build off of this as we start to enter the meat of our Spring schedule.

Kyle Steel led the Pirates both days shooting 84-88 for a two-day tally of 172. Steel finished T-16th for the tournament in the 47 player field. Austin Lasher finished in 22nd place after shooting 91 on Friday then improving his positioning after posting an 86 on Saturday. Cam Bates rounded out the Pirates scoring shooting 90-92 for a tournament total of 182 and a T-29th finish.

The Pirates have a quick turnaround as they travel to Fort Madison, IA on Tuesday to compete in the Iowa Wesleyan Spring Tiger Classic. Tee Times for the Men will begin at 11:00 A.M.
