Pirates Golf is pleased to announce the signing of Martin Stegberg, Västeras, Sweden.  The talented, young Swede is looking to come to the States and improve on an already strong junior record.  With a number of large tournaments under his belt, Coach Sager will be looking at him to help lead a young team.

"I get the opportunity to visit with a lot of young, talented golfers during the recruiting process.  Martin is a kid that I knew right away that I wanted on my roster.  Everyone we talked to said the sky is the limit with his game and we're looking for him to prove it in the college system.  He'll continue to work hard and find his way around our courses," commented Sager.

Per Brohagen, Swedish golf liason, had these comments about Stegberg.  "Martin is a solid player with great length off the tee box but has the ability to play it safe when it's required.  He is also very good with the flat stick.  He's a hard working player and will definitely be an asset to the Pirates' roster."

Stegberg will be joining the Pirates program in the Fall 2019.  Academics are a high priority as he'll work to achieve his AA-Transfer degree with a focus in Business.
