Gossett begins his 2nd year as assistant men’s basketball coach at NCMC in 2019-20. 

In Gossett's first year at NCMC, the Pirates won the NJCAA Region XVI and District XII championships.  The team was ranked #1 in the nation in 7 of 16 NJCAA national polls.  

Prior to coaching for the Pirates Gossett had coaching stints at Peru State College and Rock Valley College.  In one year at Peru, Gossett helped lead the Bobcats to a 23-11 record and a trip to the NAIA Division 1 Men's Basketball Championships.  During the two years he spent at Rock Valley, the teams accumulated a 50-15 record, while being ranked in every NJCAA DIII top ten poll.  While at Rock Valley, Gossett coached an NJCAA All-American and six All-Region IV student athletes.

Gossett played his college ball at Eureka College from 2013-2016, after playing his freshman season at Lakeland College.  In 2016, he graduated with a bachelor’s of science in criminal justice from Eureka.  Gossett is a native of Aurora, Ill., where he grew up and attended West Aurora High School.
