Pirates Stay Perfect In Region 16 With 83-70 Victory Over St. Louis CC

The 16th ranked Pirates stayed undefeated in Region 16 play with a home defeat of St. Louis CC 83-70 on Saturday. With the win, NCMC is now 15-4 overall and 3-0 in Region play.  Their next game will be a home tilt Monday with Missouri Valley College JV.  Tipoff is at 7:00pm in the Ketcham Community Center.

 

Saturday's game showcased Tyler King's exceptional scoring prowess, leading NCMC to success with an impressive 30-point performance. He dominated the court, displaying his versatility by not only sinking shots from beyond the arc but also capitalizing on free-throw opportunities. King's offensive onslaught, combined with his contributions on the boards, played a pivotal role in securing the win for the Pirates.

 

Isaiah Reams complemented King's performance with 18 points, demonstrating his scoring efficiency and ability to contribute in various aspects of the game. Giovanni Mack played a crucial role, showcasing his playmaking skills with eight assists and providing an additional scoring threat with 11 points.

 

The North Central Missouri bench contributed significantly, with Mikey Thomas providing an offensive spark with six points, including two three-pointers. Jon Carroll and Jamaal Davis also made valuable contributions in the paint, further highlighting the team's depth.

 

Defensively, NCMC demonstrated discipline, committing only 15 personal fouls throughout the game. Their ability to limit St. Louis CC's offensive opportunities and force turnovers contributed to their overall success.

 

For St. Louis Community College, Devin Davis led the scoring efforts with 20 points, but North Central Missouri's balanced attack and efficient shooting proved too much to overcome.

 

The Pirate's impressive shooting accuracy, solid teamwork, and defensive resilience were key factors in their triumph over the Archers, showcasing the team's strength and determination on both ends of the court and solidifying them as the team to beat in Region 16.
