Pirates Have No Problem With CMU JV At Home

In a commanding performance, 18th ranked North Central Missouri College secured a decisive victory over Central Methodist University JV with a final score of 88-50.  The win improves the team's record to 12-4 ahead of Saturday's Region 16 matchup with Metropolitan CC.  This will be the beginning of region play for the Pirates.

 

Tyler King led NCMC's offensive charge, amassing 18 points and showcasing efficiency from the free-throw line, where he went 6-for-7. King's ability to score in various ways, combined with his contributions on the boards, played a pivotal role in the team's success.

 

Giovanni Mack delivered an all-around performance, contributing 13 points, 7 rebounds, and an impressive 9 assists. Mack's playmaking skills were on full display as he orchestrated the team's offense and made valuable contributions on both ends of the court.

 

Jon Carroll provided a substantial boost off the bench, notching 14 points and 8 rebounds. Carroll's presence in the paint and ability to finish around the rim added depth to the Pirate's frontcourt.

 

Jamaal Davis and Khalil Screen also made significant contributions, scoring 11 and 8 points, respectively, while showcasing efficiency with perfect shooting percentages. Their combined efforts helped maintain North Central Missouri's offensive momentum.

 

The team's overall shooting performance was stellar, with a 48.6% field goal accuracy and a solid 63.0% from the free-throw line. North Central Missouri dominated the boards, outrebounding CMU JV 52-33, showcasing their superiority in both scoring and rebounding.

 

Defensively, North Central Missouri was aggressive, recording 16 steals and limiting Central Methodist JV to a 30.0% shooting percentage. The team's defensive efforts translated into fast-break opportunities and disrupted their opponent's offensive rhythm.
