Pirates Take Down 2nd Ranked Johnson County CC On The Road

In a thrilling road matchup with 2nd ranked Johnson County CC, the 19th ranked NCMC men's basketball team clinched a hard-fought victory 95-82 on Saturday.  The loss was the first of the season for the host Cavaliers and avenged the Pirate's November 4th 18-point home defeat.  NCMC is now 8-4 overall with a Wednesday road game with Highland CC as the next test.

Isaiah Reams stood out as the star player for NCMC, leading his team with an impressive 25-point contribution. His offensive prowess, combining efficient shooting and accuracy from the free-throw line, was crucial in guiding the Pirates to the upset victory.

Giovanni Mack added substantial support, posting 18 points while demonstrating proficiency from the field and securing 7 rebounds. Additionally, Jon Carroll and Jamaal Davis made notable contributions off the bench, scoring 12 and 9 points, respectively, to bolster the team's offensive efforts.

NCMC exhibited remarkable shooting percentages throughout the game, achieving a 52.9% field goal percentage and a solid 72.7% from the free-throw line. Their offensive efficiency and bench depth played a pivotal role in securing the victory.

For JCCC, Brandon Mann delivered an outstanding performance, leading his team with 24 points. Despite his efforts and a competitive showing from other key players like Kyler Mann and Massi Malterer, North Central Missouri's collective offensive performance proved too much to overcome.

Both teams displayed commendable effort and competitiveness, but NCMC's balanced offensive attack and shooting accuracy ultimately propelled them to a well-deserved triumph.  With the win, the Pirates will look to continue their climb in the national rankings.
