North Central Missouri College faced a tough challenge against 3rd ranked Des Moines Area Community College but fell short in a high-scoring affair, losing 104-91.  NCMC is now 1-2 against NJCAA DII ranked opponents in a tough stretch of games to open the season.

NCMC's offense was led by Tyler King, who exhibited a phenomenal performance, tallying an impressive game high 38 points. King's exceptional shooting, including a stellar 5-of-10 from beyond the arc, along with his ability to convert 9-of-11 free throws, made a significant impact on the team's offensive output.

Isaiah Reams also contributed significantly to the team's scoring effort, adding 20 points to the scoreboard. Reams went 7-of-15 from the field and showcased his prowess at the free-throw line by making 6-of-7 attempts.

Despite the remarkable individual efforts, the Pirates struggled defensively against DMACC's well-rounded offensive attack. They had efficient shooting numbers, notably a 58.7% field goal percentage and a stellar 95.2% from the free-throw line.  This posed a significant challenge that NCMC couldn't overcome.

Both teams displayed competitive spirits throughout the game, but DMACC's collective offensive efficiency ultimately secured the win.
