Highly Ranked Indian Hills CC Too Much For Pirates On The Road

Pirate's basketball took a 94-71 road loss on Wednesday at Indian Hills CC.  The Warriors are currently ranked 6th in the latest NJCAA DI poll and improved their record to 26-3.  The Pirates, now 17-9, will be in action again on Saturday, February 25th when they travel to St. Louis CC to finish their regular season slate of games.  NCMC will look to improve on their 1-2 Region 16 record ahead of the postseason tournament.

The Pirates got solid scoring contributions from starters Gerald Gittens (18 pts) and Kam Bevel (15 pts) plus Nelson Reynolds (12 pts) off the bench in defeat.  As a team, NCMC shot 41% from the field and made 10-28 three-point attempts.

The duo of Enoch Kalambay (27 pts) and Don McHenry (21 pts) were too much for NCMC to overcome.  The Warriors shot 52% on their home court despite going just 5-25 from behind the arc.
