Pirate's basketball posted a comeback win on the road Tuesday night against Allen County CC 73-69. NCMC rallied from an 8-point halftime deficit to extend their winning streak to 3 games, all against opponents who were NJCAA DII ranked or receiving votes. Their overall record is now 7-4. Saturday they will hit the road to take on Southwestern CC, a team who defeated the Pirates with a buzzer beater in the Ketcham Center on Nov. 19th.
Staring for the Pirates offensively on Tuesday was sophomore guard Kam Bevel. He totaled 19 points on 6-18 shooting plus 5 made free throws. Freshmen Nelson Reynolds and Carlton Thomas also scored in double figures, netting 12 and 11 points respectively. Thomas was also a force on the boards, pulling down a game high 16 rebounds for his 4th double-double of the year.
