Pirates basketball took a 106-73 loss at Indian Hills CC, the 6th ranked NJCAA DI team, on Wednesday. The loss concludes the team's regular season with games against Southeast CC and St. Louis CC cancelled this weekend. NCMC carries a 14-11 record into next week's NJCAA DII Region XVI tournament. The Pirates, the #2 seed, will play St. Louis on Thursday, February 24th in Jefferson City. Tipoff for that game is set for 7:00pm.
Offensively, NCMC could only muster a 33.3% shooting percentage in the loss. The team's top scorer was Isaiah Ervin with 16 points on 6-17 shooting. The Pirates committed 20 turnovers in defeat and were outrebounded 53-42.
