NCMC men's basketball took three defeats over the extended holiday weekend to move their record to 5-7 for the season.  On Tuesday, John Wood CC got the best of the Pirates by the score of 81-75.  NCMC will have a chance to avenge the road loss on Saturday, January 8^th when they host the Trailblazers. 

The other two losses came in the Pinnacle Bank Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Central Community College in Columbus, NE.  Friday NCMC was on the wrong end of a 72-70 score against Iowa Lakes CC.  Saturday saw North Iowa Area CC defeat the Pirates 71-70.

Nearing the semester break, the Pirates will look to get back to their winning ways Tuesday when they host Allen County CC.  Isaiah Ervin is leading the Pirates in points per game with 18.9.  Also averaging double figures is Kolten Griffin with 15.6 ppg.  He is also pulling down a team high 9.8 rebounds per game.
