Two Losses For NCMC At The Keith Lindsey Classic

Pirates basketball dropped a pair of games over the weekend in the Keith Lindsey Classic hosted by Kansas City Kansas Community College.  Friday saw the Pirates fall 69-68 to Link Year Prep.  On Saturday, Iowa Western handed NCMC their largest defeat of the year 90-63.  With the losses, the 7th ranked Pirates are now 3-3 having lost 3 straight since knocking off top ranked DMACC.

Coach Esry offered these comments about his team's recent woes in the postgame interview on Pirates Digital Media Saturday.  "I love our team and I think we can be really good but we're not showing it.  I think we are too nice.  It should be a dog eat dog mentality and I just feel like we're content with everybody playing and everybody getting minutes.  We are going to get there but there is definitely a long way to go."

NCMC will look to get back to their winning ways when they host Southwestern CC in the Ketcham Community Center on Tuesday.  The Spartans are currently 1-3 with their lone win coming against Mount Mercy College JV.
