19th ranked NCMC men's basketball cruised to a 107-72 victory Tuesday night over Central Methodist JV to kick off their 2021-22 season. Pirate fans saw high flying action from a team hungry to get back to the NJCAA National Tournament for the 4th consecutive year.
Leading the offensive attack were starters Isaiah Ervin (22 points) and Gerald Gittens (10 points). Also with significant offensive contributions off the bench were Guy Moran (16 points) and Mack Anderson (13 points).
The schedule will stiffen for the Pirates looking forward. They play host in the NCMC Classic on November 5-6. On Friday, Coach Esry's squad will take on Kansas City Kansas CC before a matchup Saturday against the NJCAA top ranked team and defending national champions from Des Moines Area CC. Games each day will tip off at 6:00pm.
