Butler Leads 16th Ranked Pirates To Victory

Pirates Basketball put on a show Tuesday night in the Ketcham Community Center defeating #20 Southeast Community College 106-89 to improve their season record to 13-6.  This was the last home regular season matchup for NCMC and the packed crowd certainly got their monies worth.

Four of the five starters for the Pirates scored in double figures, led by Atavian Butler's 29 points.  Butler also pulled down a game high 11 rebounds in the win.  As a team, NCMC shot a solid 46% in the contest and made 13 three point attempts.

The Pirates, currently ranked #16 in the latest NJCAA DII poll, next face Metropolitan Community College on the road to finish out their regular season schedule.  NCMC defeated the Wolves 94-88 in late February, the Pirates homecoming game.  With a win, NCMC would secure an undefeated Region 16 season.
