Pirates basketball moved to 2-0 in Region 16 play Saturday by defeating St. Louis Community College 72-68.  The sophomore day win pushes the team's record to 9-5 before they hit the road Monday to face State Fair Community College, a team NCMC defeated earlier this year.

Kolten Griffin posted his best game as a Pirate, totaling 20 points and pulling down 5 rebounds.  Also scoring in double figures were the sophomore tandem of Jeramy Shaw (15 pts) and Atavian Butler (12pts).
