NCMC Men’s Basketball Seeded 9th In The National Tournament

The brackets are out for the NJCAA Division II National Tournament that the North Central Missouri College men's basketball team will be competing in next week.  Dates for the tournament are March 17-21 and all games will take place on the campus of Danville Community College.

Cost of admission at the tournament will be $10.00 per session or $50.00 for a tournament pass.  Senior citizens will receive a discounted rate of $4.00 per session and those ages 6 and under are free.  Tickets will be sold at the door with Visa, Master Card and Discover accepted.  All games are to be broadcast live on njcaatv.com; Single Game Broadcast Passes are $4.99 or a Championship Season Pass is $14.99 for those unable to make the trip to follow the team.

The Pirates (27-3), ranked 6th in the latest NJCAA DII poll and fresh off their Region XVI and Central Plains District titles, will be the 9th seed and face the 8th overall seed Howard Community College (25-6) in the opening round on Tuesday, March 17th with a 6:30pm tip.

The Pirates are guaranteed a minimum of two games in the tournament.  With a win in the opening round, NCMC would take on the winner of the matchup between top seed Milwaukee Area Tech (31-1) and 16th seed Dakota County Tech (21-10) on Wednesday, March 18th at 6:00pm.  A loss in the opening round would see the Pirates face the loser of the Milwaukee Area Tech and Dakota County Tech game at 3:00pm on Wednesday.
