Home Win Over Central Methodist JV

NCMC men's basketball quickly got back to their winning ways following the road defeat at Indian Hill CC Wednesday with an 83-68 victory over Central Methodist University JV Thursday night.  With the win, the Pirates record sits at 23-2.

After trailing by as many as 9 points early in the game, bench players Michael Horton, Jonathan Richmond and Demarius Houston keyed the comeback, especially with their defensive effort.  Horton's 19 points and Richmond's 18 points also led the team's offense.

Coach Jeremy Esry was underwhelmed by his team's performance overall and had these comments in his postgame interview with Pirates Digital Media.  "This was not our best showing.  We need to play a little bit more inspired and respect the game."  Esry was quick to praise Horton, Richmond and Houston for their efforts in righting the ship and leading the team to victory.

Next up for NCMC will be a road contest with Iowa Western Community College on Tuesday.  From there, the Pirates will play two more Region XVI games before heading into the postseason.
